Florinef – a new generation medicine
Florinef is an effective medication used for treating primary and secondary suprarenal insufficiency, adrenogenital syndrome with apparent loss of electrolytes, acute allergic keratitis and other allergic conditions of the eyeball. Florinef could also be used for treating eyeball injuries, and reducing inflammation symptom. Florinef makes up for the deficiency of adrenal cortex hormones, participates in metabolism, detains ions of sodium and promotes potassium excretion. It is also used in patients with Addison’s disease and adrenogenital syndrome associated with intense salt excretion from a body. Florinef is taken by mouth (0,05-0,3 mg a day). The medicine should be used with caution in patients with ulcers, tuberculosis and diabetes, since Florinef may activate these diseases. To avoid puffiness the patients who use Florinef are recommended to reduce consumption of common salt. In case if infections occur during the treatment with Florinef antibiotics are immediately prescribed. In case of long-term treatment patients should regulary have their blood tested for controlling concentration of electrolytes and glucose in blood serum.
